Facebook said that users are reminded of a daily reminder when they reach the time limit they will spend on it. It also offers an option to disable notifications on smartphones.
Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg went through some changes in practice in response to the accusations that the company was encouraging addiction to its platform in its statement in 2017. Earlier this year, Zuckerberg said: "In 2018, we are focusing not only on the use of Facebook, but also on the well-being of people and the usefulness of society."
