As we know, distance education, which we frequently hear, is an education model where the teacher and the learner do not physically coexist and the teaching process is carried out by various methods. Although it varies according to the suitability of both parties, the distance education process carried out over the internet today was carried out by letters in the old days and then by radios.

Unfortunately, COVID-19, which continues to spread in the world and in our country, or coronavirus disease, as it is known, directed people to distance education. In these days, where no one could even go out, education was one of the sectors that naturally interrupted and decision makers found the solution in distance education. As we mentioned at the beginning of the article, distance education is not a foreign word to the education community. In fact, many studies have been carried out in the field of distance education under the leadership of Anadolu University since 1990s in our country. When we come to the beginning of the 2000s, everyone will remember; Many books such as CDs of various classrooms, English learning sets and CDs entered our homes, but it strengthened its place on the shelves of our homes 1-2 days later. With EBA TV, which started broadcasting as of Monday, distance education at primary, secondary and high school levels has been reintroduced to our homes so widely. As soon as they enter, the main issue to be discussed is how much the learners can benefit from the system, how to control the continuity in the process, the quality of the content produced and how it can be enriched. These are also the biggest reasons that distance education has not been able to take a solid place in education in the sector for years. Today, with the development of web 2.0 tools, various interactions (gamification, acting according to user orientation, giving certificates, etc.) are added to the educational environments and contents, and the learning time of the learner is eagerly increased. In the distance education and EBA system, which is now in our lives, many problems can be prevented especially by teachers and content producers by enriching their lessons by including such web 2.0 tools in their teaching processes. Most of the researches show that increasing the interaction in education and addressing more than one senses increase the quality of education.

At the end of the day, distance education continuity, learner responsibility, quality, access difficulties, etc. a topic that is still open to debate with problems. In our country, distance education will be abandoned after the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak ends and will be replaced by classical education. Therefore, it will be most beneficial for everyone to take the good aspects of distance education as in every subject and integrate it into the normal education process. The important thing is to determine the frame, focus on the target and increase the quality, the rest is easy.
